There are over 40 ethnic groups. The biggest are the Kikuyu, Luyha, Luo, Kalenjin, Kamba, Kisii and Meru among others.
English and Swahili are the official languages, but there are also various tribal languages.
Religious cult is divided between Protestants, Catholics, Muslims, and with a lesser extent, Animists.
